When Repairing a Pipe Isn’t Enough
Plumbing replacement means removing a pipe, fixture, or line that’s too worn, damaged, or outdated to repair and installing a new one in its place. It’s the right call when a pipe has failed repeatedly, when the material itself is known to break down over time, or when a fixture has reached the end of its useful life. We don’t recommend replacement unless it’s genuinely the better option. Our plumbers inspect first and explain what they find before making any recommendations.

Signs You Need Plumbing Replacement, Not a Repair
A repair fixes one problem. Replacement solves it for good. You’re likely looking at replacement if you’re dealing with repeat leaks in the same section of pipe, visible corrosion along a pipe’s length rather than one spot, discolored water from corroding galvanized pipe, or a fixture that’s simply outlived its lifespan. Homes with polybutylene pipe (common from the late 1970s through the mid-1990s) are also candidates for proactive replacement, since that material is prone to sudden failure rather than a slow leak you can catch in time.

Every replacement starts with an inspection, sometimes including a video camera for pipes we can’t see directly. We confirm the scope of the problem, walk you through material options (copper, PEX, or cast iron depending on the application), and give you an upfront price before any work begins. For larger jobs like a whole-home repipe, we plan the work to minimize how much of your home gets opened up.
